Our minds are such powerful tools, an engine that has the power to think you don’t have control.
I read somewhere can’t remember where now that we cant control our first thought but we can control the next one. That right there was a healthy game charger for me.
It’s so easy to have a thought, then follow that thought path no matter if its positive or negative. This is where mindset training comes into play.
On this journey to greater self-awareness, I realised that I have the power to control me and me alone. Every minute of every day is an opportunity to realign, then confirm what's important. Knowing that no matter what, I have goals that I deserve to achieve, whether sad, happy, angry, fulfilled, etc. Its never about falling off its about dusting off, finding your way back on your journey for peace, love, success, and whatever else we live for.
For aligned mindset we must first understand our habits. What habits have you created that have become second nature? What habits do you have that may need questioning to reconfirm they align to your goals and intentions?
Often we find ourselves in the future, so the present is downgraded limiting the purest experience of now. Lets not get it twisted dreaming is believing but action is proclaiming. Let’s be honest we all know as adults when we are putting in maximum effort. We know when we are not, and usually at that point we start pointing the finger internally or externally when we should be asking questions. How many times have you asked yourself a questions and didn’t respond? Rarely right.
Try it now ask – Am I where I want to be? What answer came about? No problem whatever the answer you have the power to change it through your mindset.
Lets begin to focus on the things we can and want to do, writing down the actions required to get there? Who has what I want? Instead of being jealous use it as inspiration. Remember you can’t compare your start to someone‘s middle that’s setting your mental up to fail. Just know that we all start somewhere and where we are now is a series of decisions we’ve made. However hard that sounds we are where we are because of us.
If you could do anything what what would it be? Why? Now find a compelling reason to get there. Its never easy, the mindset is not easy now and hard later', it's 'hard now and easy later?'
Mindset is self-development – its daily training, its doing things differently because you want different results, its learning so you can stay ahead, its non-judgmental but honest.
Staying in our comfort zone isn’t staying in control its leading with fear, we can and should break those limiting habits. Get comfortable in un-comfortability because the one thing certain about life is change.
At the end of the day, we don’t know what we don’t know.
The blame game is over, live your life for you, and then give to other because guess what you cant pour from an empty cup.
If you don’t journal try it, if you do read them back you’ll be amazed what you find. Always review your goals and create a vision. Where do you want to be in 10 years? Then 5 years? Then 2 years? Then 12 months? Now look at the activities you need to complete to get there and work one day at a time. Each day setting yourself up for success by writing down needle moving tasks to complete.
Its takes 30 days to change a habit and 90 days to create a lifestyle, what’s your lifestyle? Its about you, work on you, for you, and take a step back to evaluate your purpose if you don’t know it already.
